La Reserva Privada de Shambala es una selva virgen ubicada en lo más profundo de 30.000 acres de denso bosque y sabana.

La reserva privada de Shambala se encuentra en las Montañas Waterberg, un parque natural inmaculado en la región de Bushveld de la provincia de Limpopo. Las 12.140 hectáreas de maleza y sabana albergan a múltiples animales salvajes, como elefantes, el búfalo del Cabo, rinocerontes, leones, leopardos, guepardos y antílopes. Los ocho chalets de Zulu Camp son ejemplos de lujo sencillo fabricados con madera y paja locales. Las excursiones imprescindibles incluyen paseos en coche diurnos y nocturnos para ver la fauna, en unos 4x4 abiertos, y safaris montados en elefantes.   • All chalets are furnished and decorated in chic Afro-French provincial style with a king-size bed, mini-bar and patio. All bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers, an oversized bathtub, separate WC. A maximum of 2 persosn can be accommodated in each chalet. Children under the age of 16 can only be accommodated on a REQUEST BASIS.

    Other features include: Driving range, Outdoor swimming pool, Bush picnics, Sunset cruises, and a Heliport.
  • Shambala Spa is situated in a secluded bushveld clearing near the riverside. The Spa offers all the traditional spa treatments as well as specialist signature treatments for relaxing, revitalizing and rejuvenating the senses. The Spa deck offers views over the river bed and the sound of the water adds to the tranquility of the surrounds.

    Game viewing: Visitors to Shambala are treated to unique personal experiences of the bushveld and close-up game viewing by qualified, experienced game rangers and guides. With the many species of wildlife roaming free on Shambala, visitors are not permitted to go on unaccompanied walks for safety reasons.

    Elephant safaris
    One of the most memorable activities at Shambala is going on an elephant safari. These elephants were originally relocated from Zimbabwe, where their existence was under severe threat. Lovingly trained and cared for by experienced trainers, they clearly enjoy the interaction Bush picnics Bush picnics at Shambala are unforgettable, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush with its abundant wildlife and lilting birdcalls.

    Sunset cruises
    At Shambala the pièce de resistance is a sundowner cruise on the Steyn Dam, taking in the spectacular sunset as the birds wing their way home and the bushveld turns to dusk.

    One of the most magical experiences at Shambala is spending a few hours in the silence of the African bush under the Milky Way and discovering the wonders of galaxies, constellations and stars
